Lakeland, State other library news Lakeland switching cataloging software, there will be an additional cost to switch and the subscription should make fees cheaper over the years

Children’s computer came in and was set up – see children’s area
New website is up and running – see demo of board area
Signed up for the Great Michigan Reads – free books/promotional materials, great for book club
New audio books, books, new magazine subscriptions are in: Christianity today, Camping, Michigan Out of Doors, Brides,
Sent out 18 post cards so far for PostCrossing
Facebook group growing
Halloween party – success! Gave out print out of programs coming, ~100-150
Library of Congress Surplus Books – sent another letter to Fred Upton, waiting for reply
Nook was sold, hope to sell 2 filing cabinets in the near future, old books sold
Policy Manual almost finished – it will have to be approved by either the DL board or the current board
